June Garden Popping Out

Onions or maybe garlic? (came in an estate sale pot) breaking their bonds.
To see what else is popping in the world visit Today's Flowers #252.

Bathroom Tub Surround

The revised surround arrived Thursday and was in stalled.
Last Saturday the sub floor went down.
You can see the grade toward the back of the shower were the drain will be located.
Progress.

Dad

My Dad with my sister, my cousin and me on my brother's first day home from the hospital in1952.
I don't remember my brother or sister's first words but I have it on good authority that mine was "Bayly" so I could call for Dad at night.
Dad and me (not yet talking!) in Alabama.

He's probably where I get my preference for a shower.  As an infant he would hold me in the shower to cool off during the hot Alabama summer.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

Renovation: Slight Snag

The stone fabricators came Monday with the tub surround.
Put the pieces in place.
Uh oh. The top right join was way off color wise. a decidedly gray piece matching up with a decidedly white back edge piece. There had been a problem cutting the radius from the original stone and second piece was chosen.  They should have caught the mismatch on the cutting table.
All wengt back. We hope to get a matching piece.
Mean time the tile is sitting in the garage.
And work is stopped until Thursday.

Peony Patch Glory

Earlier this month at the peak of glory, between rain showers, I took some pictures and picked some more peonies.

I spy a grape vine wriggling its way into to the peony patch.

But all good things come to an end.

So lovely and so fleeting. Catch up with gardens growing around the world on Today's Flowers # 250.
