Renovation: Bathroom

Big demo started Tuesday in the master bathroom. Here's what's coming. Inspiration photos:
from MyFrenchCountryHome
We're getting a Kohler Archer whirlpool tub from plumbingsupply, com. Came as promised on Tuesday.
Hansgrohe shower, ordered by individual pieces rather than a set. from NationalBuilderSupply.com, with no thresh hold and a Schluter Kerdi drain linear drain system, a glass enclosure and door.
r
White 8x10 subway tile.
Two rows of rope trim with three rows of 1x6 between.
Floor (I know it says wall, but the same on the floor.)
I bought this to use for the sink. On sale.
But I'm swapping with my daughter (perfect for her house) and taking my mom's dinning room buffet. It's a tad longer, has more storage and I won't feel bad painting it. Yeah, I know painted furniture is all the rage.  I just can't bring myself to paint nice wood. This buffet has some veneer issues and dings that need repair. No hard feelings about the paint option.

TBD....Stainless sink or white?
American Standard  wall mounted faucets
 Lights (installs pointed down)
A floorplan like this.

Walls not tiled, but this idea
 or probably this
Anyway, it will be something like this.
I LOVE my iPad! I did all my research, kept my files in Evernote, iPhoto, and my favorite app ... SketchBook.

Peony Party

Last Sunday I thought the peonies would be in full bloom. Thanks to the chilly weather they were just starting to pop. But I had a party planned (and a good thing since the rain this week was not kind to the flowers even when they are tied up).

The iris I transplanted from my mom's in New Jersey have also come on strong this year.
This is a great watercolor of Paris by Marcel Serraillier of Visual Impact.
Drinks set up in kitchen.
Food in the dining room (formerly the living room, I like to switch things out). Cured salmon, chicken salad, biscuits, cheeses and veggies.
Desserts in the "music room", brownies, pound cake and berries..
Kids first move was to sync to the wi-fi so they could play Mindcraft.
They were finally lured outside for soccer. Luckily the forecasted rain held off and we had sun by the end of the day.
The peony border outside the dining room windows.
By the end of this week they were in full bloom.  Join up with Today's Flowers #248 to see more of what's in bloom around the world.

May Garden

The garden is alive with color and I bring as much as possible inside.
 Delaware Valley White.
Azaleas, bleeding hearts and lamb's ear.
Mother's Day/Birthday tulips from the florist.
 Clementis.
I call this the snowball bush, not sure of the correct name.
Visit Today's Flowers #247 for more color.
