In The Halloween Spirit

On the Outer Banks you find little family grave yards near the homesteads.  Some of the stones really tell a story you'd like to know more about.  The close death dates of several children...an epidemic of some kind, or an accident?  We'll never know.  Here's a tour of family resting places I've seen while on vacation on Oracoke Island, NC.  Every old family home seems to have one.

 

 Then there is the British Cemetery.

 They are not close to home like the others, but they are well cared for.
