A fun day shopping with Eddie Ross and Jaithan at the Dulles Expo Big DC Flea.
Check in with Jaithan, organizer extraordinaire.
A stop to learn about glass from an expert dealer.
Jasperware in this booth.
Ivory handled knives and forks were a good buy.
Linens and their care.
Blue flow ware
More dishes to pull a colors from for a festive table.
Blue plates in different patterns to collect.
I recently got this group of plates from a thrift store. Five dinner, bread & butter, salads $30 for everyday use.
I already have some nice soup dishes from a December estate sale.
Prints and framing tips.
Fabulous silver dealer.
This dealer had a mix of things, but Eddie focused on the copper.
I had stopped here before the tour and loved these two matching watercolor portraits
He was particularly nice.
They also had amazing samplers. Tiny, fine stitches, imaginative design...this one had a duck pond and the child's animals around the house. She was eleven! One had the ten commandments rendered in verse. One was by a six year old! Can you imagine?
At the end of the day, a fine time had with friends.
If you get a chance take an "Eddie Tour" for an education. He'll be at the Scott Antique Market, Atlanta GA next week.
